Forklift Truck Conversion Training
Our forklift truck conversion training course is for operators who are already certified on one type of forklift and need to extend their licence to operate a different category of machine. Rather than repeating a full novice course, conversion training allows qualified drivers to efficiently gain the additional certification they need.
Common conversions include counterbalance to reach truck, counterbalance to pallet truck, or any category to another. Training focuses on the differences between machine types — controls, stability characteristics, load handling behaviour and operating environments — ensuring operators understand how their existing skills transfer and where new techniques apply.
Delivered on-site at your premises using the machine your operator will actually work with, the course ensures certification is directly relevant to the role. The course typically takes one day.
On successful completion, operators receive additional certification extending their existing forklift licence to cover the new category, recognised by CPCS and NPORS and meeting current HSE guidance on operator competence.
