Safe Working at Height Training
Our safe working at height training course ensures that anyone required to work above ground level understands the risks involved and knows how to manage them effectively. Working at height remains one of the leading causes of workplace fatalities in the UK. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 place a legal duty on employers to ensure all such work is properly planned, supervised and carried out by competent people.
The course covers the legal framework for working at height, risk assessment and the hierarchy of control measures, selection and correct use of access equipment including ladders, stepladders, scaffold and mobile elevated work platforms, fall prevention systems, and the correct use of PPE including harnesses and fall arrest equipment.
Participants also learn how to inspect access equipment before use, understand the responsibilities of both worker and supervisor, and know how to respond if a fall or near miss occurs. The training is practical and directly applicable to the environments your team works in.
Delivered on-site in a half-day format, the course is suitable for anyone who works at height as part of their role, whether regularly or occasionally, including operatives, supervisors and managers.
