Road Roller Training
Our road roller training course equips operators with the skills to safely operate vibrating road rollers for the compaction of soil, aggregate, asphalt and other materials on construction, highways and civil engineering sites. Effective compaction is fundamental to the structural integrity of roads and foundations — and safe, skilled operation of the machine is essential to achieving it.
The course covers machine familiarisation and controls, compaction theory and techniques for different surface types, operating on slopes and in restricted areas, working near excavations and site boundaries, and the inspection and maintenance routines required to keep the machine in safe working order. Our instructors bring significant industry experience, ensuring operators understand both the technical requirements of compaction work and the safety considerations involved.
Training is delivered on-site using your own machine and suits both novice and experienced operators requiring formal certification. Typical course duration is one to two days.
On successful completion, operators receive recognised road roller certification aligned with CPCS and NPORS standards, meeting the requirements of principal contractors, highways authorities and insurance providers.
