Chainsaw Safety Awareness Training
Our chainsaw safety awareness training course provides operators and supervisors with the essential knowledge to work safely around chainsaws and understand the significant risks they present. Whether used in forestry, land management, construction clearance or estate maintenance, chainsaws are among the most hazardous tools in the workplace — making proper training a critical requirement under current health and safety legislation.
The course covers chainsaw safety principles, correct selection and use of personal protective equipment, pre-use inspection and maintenance checks, safe cutting techniques, working in proximity to other people, and how to respond in an emergency. Participants will also cover the importance of risk assessment before beginning any chainsaw operation.
This awareness-level course is suitable for workers who operate or work near chainsaws, as well as supervisors responsible for overseeing chainsaw operations on site. It is designed to complement any practical chainsaw licence or higher-level qualification operators may hold.
Delivered on-site at your premises, the course provides a chainsaw safety awareness certificate as evidence of competence for health and safety records.
