Access Platform Training
Our access platform training course gives operators the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs) including scissor lifts, boom lifts and cherry pickers. MEWPs are essential for working at height on construction, maintenance and industrial sites — but without proper training they carry significant risks. Our course ensures operators are trained, competent and certified.
Training is delivered on-site using your own access platform, so operators learn on the specific machine they use in their role. The course covers MEWP categories, pre-use inspections, safe operating techniques, emergency procedures, fall protection and the responsibilities of both operator and supervisor. Both theory and practical elements are assessed.
The course is aligned with IPAF and PASMA standards and is suitable for operators of all MEWP types. Whether your team uses scissor lifts on flat surfaces or articulated boom lifts on complex sites, training is tailored to the equipment in use. Typical duration is one day.
On successful completion, operators receive recognised certification confirming competence to operate access platforms in line with current UK regulations.
